At the delegates' assembly 24 June 2010, the Association Suisse d'Organisation et de Mananagement (ASO) will be accepted as the fourth supporting organisation of the VZPM.
VZPM with a new president
As only the second president in the history of the VZPM, Dr. Markus A. Zoller will take over from Paul J. Zimmermann as of July 1, 2011.

With the app developed especially for the VZPM, the administrative handling of the certifications can be processed online.
Over 1000 certificates issued for the first time
In 2010, the VZPM issued more than 1000 certificates within one year for the first time.

10,000th IPMA certificate issued
The VZPM presents a successful graduate with the 10,000th IPMA certificate in Switzerland.

1. Certified Projects Director IPMA Level A
On 11 September 2004 the first successful graduate can call himself Certified Projects Director IPMA® Level A.
1. Certified Senior Project Manager IPMA Level B
The first Certified Senior Project Manager IPMA® Level B certificate is issued by VZPM.

A successful graduate receives the first certificate Certified Project Manager IPMA® Level C.
1. Certified Project Management Associate IPMA Level D
For the first time, VZPM can issue a Certified Project Management Associate IPMA® Level D certificate.

1. Certified Programme and Portfolio Management Consultant IPMA PPMC
Shortly before Christmas, the first Certified Programme and Portfolio Management Consultant IPMA® PPMC certificate is issued in Switzerland.
1. Certified Business Process Professional CBPP
For the first time, the VZPM is presenting a successful graduate with the Certified Business Process Professional CBPP® certificate. This is the very first certificate issued by VZPM outside the IPMA certification scheme. It is recognized by ABPMP (Association of Business Process Management Professionals) and EABPM (European Association of Business Process Management).

A good 5 years after the first CBPP® certificate, the first Certified Business Process Associate CBPA® certificate is presented to a successful graduate.
A company becomes certified
On April 11, 2016, the first certification of an organisation carried out in Switzerland will be completed by spm. The IPMA Delta® certificate will be handed over to the company's representatives during a presentation.
Publication of the Swiss National Competence Baseline (ICB3)
With the publication of ICB3, the behavioural competencies of candidates are now also assessed as part of the IPMA® 4-level certification scheme. For this purpose, the STAR methodology is being introduced in Switzerland.

The European Association of Business Process Management (EABPM) publishes the German version of the Business Process Management Common Body of Knowledge (BPM CBOK®) version 2.0. The SGO contributed to the translation from English.

Validation ICR4 by IPMA
In November 2018, Switzerland will be one of the first 10 countries to be validated by IPMA with regard to the implementation of certifications according to the IPMA International Certification Regulations Version 4 (ICR4). On 29 March 2019, the managing director of the VZPM received the validation certificate at the Certification System Panel in Copenhagen.
Accreditation by the SAS
On 15 January 1997, the Swiss Accreditation Service (SAS) granted the VZPM accreditation as a certification body for project management personnel according to the ISO/IEC 17024 standard.
1. Validation by the IPMA
On 10 March 2002, VZPM successfully completed the IPMA® validation procedure for the 4-level certification scheme.
Dissolution of the ASO
The Association Suisse d'Organisation et de Mananagement (ASO) was dissolved on 8 September 2020 and is no longer a supporting organisation of the VZPM. The VZPM remains active throughout Switzerland and is supported in French speaking Switzerland by the Société Suisse de Management de Projet (SMP).
The VZPM goes fully online
On 5 November 2020, the first candidates took the written exam online. From now, both the exams and the entire certification processes can be conducted regardless of location.
New members in the VZPM Managing Board
The reorganisation of the VZPM that has taken place in recent years, mainly in the operational area, is now being continued in the reshuffling of the Managing Board. The board has been reduced to five persons and "rejuvenated".
Revalidation 4-L-C by IPMA
Every three years, the VZPM must be revalidated by IPMA in order to retain the right to offer certification according to IPMA's 4-level certification system. This was successfully done in November 2021.
IPMA certifications in Agile Leadership
Now, the VZPM offers all IPMA certifications in Agile Leadership in German, i.e. all four levels including the certifications with a shortened procedure with existing certificates in project management.

With the support of the spm, the VZPM has translated the IPMA Reference Guide ICB4 in an Agile World into French and published it.
A collection of round certificate numbers
This month, the VZPM issued the 25,000th initial IPMA Level A-D certificate. There were other anniversaries during the year: 100th IPMA Level A certificate, 3,000th IPMA Level C certificate and 20,000th IPMA Level D certificate
