IPMA© conferences (CoD and CSP)

Sevilla in September 2023

Certification System Panel (CSP) of 22 September 2023

Led by the Chair CVMB (Certification and Validation Management Board), the Certification System Panel (CSP) was conducted in hybrid form, as has been the practice since the end of the Corona pandemic, so that as many certification bodies as possible could be represented. A total of 58 people, 17 of them online, from 38 countries participated. The CSP dealt with topics related to IPMA's certification products and their further development. The focus was on the following topics:

  • New IPMA strategy
  • Certification for personnel from the PMO
  • Further development of the International Certification Regulations (ICR)

In addition, all national certification bodies that were validated in 2023 were recognised in a festive ceremony and best practices from various certification bodies were presented.

Council of Delegates (CoD) of 23/24 September 2023

The Delegates of the IPMA member associations met at the CoD on site in Seville to discuss, network and coordinate with each other. The spm (Swiss Project Management Association) was represented by its board member André Moustopoulos.

The meeting was opened by the CoD Chair, Jesus Martinez Almela, and the outgoing President, Joop Schefferlie, who, after welcoming the delegates, observed a minute's silence in memory of the two late, deserving volunteers, Vice President Yvonne Schoper (Germany) and Honorary Fellow Dr Hans Knöpfel (Switzerland). Hans Knöpfel was awarded a medal of honour and a plate of honour post mortem.

The focus of this year's CoD was the elections. Mladen Vukomanovic (Croatia) was elected as the new IPMA President, Marco Buijnsters (Netherlands) and Silvia Drahosova (Slovakia) as Vice Presidents. From the Swiss point of view, it should be emphasised that all three nominated candidates were elected to the various committees: Laurens de Bever was confirmed as Chair CVMB with a brilliant result, and both Peter Winter and Markus Stäuble made it onto the Advisory Committee and Finance Committee respectively.

The VZPM congratulates all persons on their election!
