Certified Projects Director IPMA Level A®
The Certified Projects Director IPMA Level A® is capable of managing significant portfolios or programmes with the respective resources, methodologies and tools. Level A certification relates to this and not the management of a single project. Considerable knowledge and experience are required to take on this responsibility.

Entry requirements
At least five years' experience in strategically important project portfolio, programme or project management;
- including three years’ experience in a lead management function in project portfolio management and/or programme management for an organization, a company or a strategically important business unit
- plus at least two further years’ practical experience in multiple project or programme management or in the management of important projects

- Application for certification with self-assessment
- Proof of experience and description of the portfolio or programme suggested for the project director's report
- Writing of a project director's report in line with specifications provided by the certification office, based on a case experienced in practice by the candidate, and interview with two assessors
