Established in 1965, the International Project Management Association (IPMA) is a world leading non-profit project management organization. The IPMA's vision is to promote professionalism in the field of project management. This task could not be accomplished without the support of the more than 50 IPMA member associations from around the world. The IPMA cooperates with these member associations to draw up and maintain a universal standard for project management competence.About IPMA
Overview
The VZPM is the only body in Switzerland which certifies project management specialists in accordance with the guidelines of the International Project Management Association (IPMA) and certifies process management specialists on the basis of the Common Body of Knowledge (BPM CBOK).
The VZPM conducts regular public certification rounds . These normally take place at half-yearly intervals, with starting dates in April and September.
If required, in-house certifications can be arranged for organizations which employ large numbers of project managers. This option is available subject to the precondition that a minimum of five candidates must be registered for each certification round (both for IPMA certification per level and for CBPP certification). The generally defined and internationally agreed arrangements for individual certification procedures are also fully applicable to in-house certifications.
